SaaMiaow Mart started with one emotionally exhausted little cat.

While stressfully sitting through a university lecture, industrial designer and software developer Asa Xiao doodled a cat with droopy eyes, a fuzzy tail, and a subtle “I’m tired of everything” expression. Somehow, drawing this cat felt comforting. It's a quiet way to express stress, solitude, introversion, calmness, and carefree energy.

Through her creations, she hopes to make things that resonate with people, as gentle reminders that it’s okay not to fit in, okay to let your feelings out sometimes, okay to enjoy solitude, and okay to simply be yourself.
